PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

SACRAMENTO| 2015 | WORSHIP

Founded in 1977, the Sacramento Korean Presbyterian Church has been a focal point of gathering and worship for many Korean Americans. As their community increased in numbers, the Church needed to expand their main worship hall without modifying the existing space. The presented solution was to create a mezzanine that would not only retain the prevailing structure but also enhance the spatial experience of the worship hall. The new addition would create a double-height space that is enclosed by a pitched roof with exposed wooden beams on the ceiling.
